Still Waiting
Current mood:
sweaty
Category: LifeWell, we are still waiting and I am therefore getting ready to sit down and do meal planning for rest of the week so I can go shopping. Life is continuing as normal.
Mom, is on the go working in the house. She only sits down for a little while to play solitare on the computer. Louise is coming in tonight - her flight was delayed so she will be about an 1 hour past the time she was supposed to get here.
Baby is still doing well (as far as I can tell) still active but doesn't have as much room to move around as he used to. I can still feel him moving and occausionally punching/kicking me, mostly turning.
Mom and I have slowed down on working in the house - our AC stopped working again (we still have the window unit... but it is hot)! We put in a call on Friday for repair but they didn't make it - maybe they will stop by Monday. Praying that they will be able to fix it!!!! If not we will have a LONG summer!!!Thursday, June 26, 2008

no baby yet
Current mood:
aggravated
Category: LifeStill a million things to do... but as the days go by I am just not feeling up to much!
Mom and I have gotten the house almost finished. Still working on Guerin's room - will post pics tonight after we have worked on it some more (day 2). Rob is off today but we still have Titus - as much as I love him - I wish I had a babysitter this week. I can get alot more done (with mom's help) when we don't have someone constantly wanting attention etc. I am a little aggitated that we are not finished with everything. Part of it is me though - I feel sluggish and moving is not always kind. I just want to sleep all the time... but life has to happen. I have been throwing myself into the work - and trying to keep up with mom - she never takes a rest! I am like hey it is dinner time... the dishes can wait till we are done... lol! It is good to reclaim my jungle of a house. There is still tons of things I want to get done (the smaller details) but at least there is more space and it looks nicer... the little things can wait I suppose. I will just be glad when it is back to the shape I like it in. It is amazing what time off can do for the house and what time away does to it!!!
Anyway. When I have the baby (or go into labor... one of these days) I will update my blog before I leave (if I am at home) or ask someone to login for me and update everyone on my blog. We will do our best to let everyone know - but it will depend on the speed at which I labor on how well we can update everyone - my blog is the best way to reach the masses quickly so it will be the first thing updated.
Did have a doc apt on Monday - I am 65% thined out & 3 centimeters dialted - meaning absolutely nothing except I am further along than I was 2 weeks ago :) If I don't have him this week we will be talking about what to do about it next week... I am not a big fan of being induced and will only conceed to that after testing (they have to do extra testing to make sure he is fine) - my doc does not like to go past a week before inducing... I am a fan of at least 10 days - we will just have to wait and see. Hopefully I won't have to mess with that!
Well back to work for me! I have boxes to fill with books - oh what fun!June 21st

Guerin’s Room - still in chaos
Current mood:
energetic
Category: LifeWell, we didn't make it around to Guerin's room... it is just really overwhelming and after doing the Garage the day before... I didn't think I was ready to face it. So we worked on my room - I do have before pics will take some after and do a big post later. Had issues with computer yest so I just put pics on and decided to deal with it later. Later may end up being tomorrow - sorry! I know some of you look forward to the pics :) It was bad but it is mostly better now :) Still need to sort through the stuff on the dresser but as far as the floor goes - you can see it and that is an imporvement!
5:16 AM - 0 Comments
One of my goals for tomorrow is pulling all my maternity clothes out of the closet so I can hang some of my normal ones back up in there. I will just fold them and put them in a laundry basket until I am ready to transfer them back to a maternity bin (the bin has some winter pants in it... and some more clothes). We burried it in the garage along with some of the other things to come back upstrairs (the baby stuff) so I should be able to get to it once the baby's stuff is on it's way back up. Anyway - I figure I only have a few more days of wearing the maternity clothes - I should hang up some stuff I will be wearing in the future. There is a spot in my closet of boxes I have never unpacked so I think I will tackle them on Sunday too. That way I can put the laundry basket where the boxes are and eliminate the need for things to be at the side of my bed. My goal is to use that space for the basinet.
Well now that I have bored everyone :) I am bored today the process of organizing my house is totally on my mind... it is exciting to reclaim space that you never use... it is like buying a new home in a way - the one I orginally wanted - not the thing that it has become (feels like a lost garden - but they can always bounce back with enough work & revamping).
It is hard to clean with my mom - a little bit - she can always think of a reason to keep clutter around :) She is like oh, you could use this for such n such or you never know if you might need it. I am like dude - haven't used this in over... 2 or more years... think I can live without it. I can always borrow one from someone in the future or just buy it again if I decide I can't live without something (you know when I get on project kicks... etc). Speaking of little projects - started but never finished... I am thinking about sewing again. Would love to finish the blanket I started for Titus and make another one specifically for Guerin. But no time right now... will see during my time off. Will probably be to sleepy to think about working :)
Despite all this enthusiasm I am still really really tired! So it is hard to balance getting things done and not being too tired! But just like the little engine that could - I am just doing it a little at a time and chugging along. Monday we face the room of chaos! I know I can, I know I can, I feel it might swallow me up if I step to far past the door... but I know I can, I know I can
besides who else is going to do it?

A brief update - no baby yet
Current mood:
hopeful
Category: LifeWell, I have been productive! Mon & Tue I worked, and I have Wed & Thur off. Friday I am working a little while in the morning.
So Wed. Mom, Titus, Bridget & I went to the zoo!!! We had alot of fun, and the weather was wonderful!! I will be updating the blog with photo's tomorrow (probably). It was a great time and I really enjoyed it!
Today, Mom and I cleaned out the garage! We took all of Titus' outside fun things (his fleet of cars, scooters, trikes & bikes, the big wheel and the basket ball goal) so he could play and be occupied while we were moving other stuff around. Then after a while Jen came and picked him up to hang with her & Eli at Maurice's house. Thus relieving us from his boredom. We got the garage rearranged and swept out and more functional - we even took stuff to goodwill. I feel very good about putting more stuff in there now! Although it will be a shame to add more to the garage - it is a necessary evil!!!
So tomorrow on the list. Start on Guerin's room. We are ignoring the rest of the house in spite of it's need for cleaning too - but these are things I need desperate help with - the rest of the house... I can handle in small doses! I thank the Lord everyday that I am being blessed with the time to accomplish these goals!! I am doing my best to try and make it to next week and get as much done as possible!
I am starting to get a little excited about meeting my new little guy (now that I have space for him... feel like it is more real & a little less overwhelming/stressful). Hopefully mom & I can stay motivated and keep on the move while we work on the little man's room!

Avoiding the Pregnant Crazy
Current mood:
exhausted
Category: LifeBeen a little hormonal lately. My dam broke when the doc told me I tested positive for my STREP test. A little sad about that - not what I want to hear. Glad that they make antibiotics to make them less likely to suffer anything long term but still worried a little and sad that I have to go in right away for my labor. Well, time for me to get going have an apt tonight.

Looking Hopeful for the Future
Current mood:
blessed
Category: LifeWell, talked with my mom this weekend and she is going to come over and help me out this coming week getting the house ready and cleaned up for Guerin & for when Rob's mom comes. I have an exciting week lined up. Tues I pick her up (her car is still not working so she hasn't seen me since March - I know, that is a while).
Wed. we are going to the zoo & Fiona might bring her new bunch (she just got a new nanny job) and Tom might bring her bunch (her 3 children) so we will have a great time!! If Tom doesn't want to bring the bunch or Fiona can't come for whatever reason - I am hoping I can kidnap her daughter (B) for the day because then Titus will have someone to play with while there. I am hoping my friend Jen will come too. Then it will be a great time!!! Even if it turns out to be just me, mom & Titus then I am still looking forward to it!
Thur. I am sending Titus off with someone (I have a list) or having Jen come over to swim with her son & Titus while mom & I work on stuff in the house (hopefully Guerin's room will be one of those things!). Little by little, I am going to reclaim my jungle of a house!
Fri. Rob is home so I plan on having him take Titus out for the day while mom & I continue our work. I realized when I was spring cleaning for the family I work for - I can do alot but it takes so long because I have to rest frequently so I won't be in so much pain, not to mention getting tired alot.
Fri night I am dropping mom off at her place & we will resume work sometime on Monday/Tuesday. I am keeping her close by - that way when my water breaks I don't have to worry about what to do with Titus - mom can take him back home after we drive to hospital. I am so relieved. My biggest stress was what to do with Titus if the baby starts coming... so now that I have that all figured out I am cool. I am just hoping this time table will work out considering he could come early (please no). People have told me it looks like I am carrying lower than I was a week or so ago - I think they may be right... but hopefully I make it to the last week before he comes.
I have so much to do!!! At least now I am hopeful that some of it might get done before I am to tired to think correctly.

Happy Mother’s Day!!!
Current mood:
accomplished
Category: LifeWhat did I do today? I got organized. I spent most of yest. busy so no time to work on the house. Well... we got our tax check so my dreams of organizing some things in the house are getting realized (faster than a little at a time - budget wise) so I went out and spent almost $100 on organizing bins and hangers (might take some of the bins back though... might do better somewhere else). Bought 80 hangers - I know it is alot but Rob and I spent nap time hanging our 4 1/2 basket fulls of clothes and used over 50!! So the clothes explosion is being managed a little better. My next goal (will be working on tonight/tomorrow morning) will be purging clothes - putting away winter clothes. Putting stuff that is folded in drawers (have to purge my drawers first since they are already full). Well, Rob and Titus went out to get ingredients to make dinner - so I am going to take advantage of having a kid free moment and start the work in my room.
Hope everyone had a great mothers day!!!

Have you heard about SHOPPER’S HOTLINE
The referral special number is 877-999-2949 ask for Operator 10.
Don't forget My member number for referral: 036121806
Ok people,
This message IS NOT A FORWARD. It is really from me. I just wanted to tell everyone about a program Rob and I are in that helps you earn money for scanning items you buy at the store. Lastly, it doesn't cost you anything.
What is it called: Shopper's Hotline.
How does it work The basics: You go shopping (anything that has a barcode can be scanned) you come home and grab your scanner (have to have a computer with the internet to download info) scan items before putting them away (like groceries, or presents) and then once a week (I usually plug mine in on Sunday) you plug your scanner into the computer (comes with software and USV cable) and then you follow the directions to send your info. You are given 40 points a week. They issue bonus points for consistently remembering to send your info to them. Bonus points are issued at the end of each quarter.
Why do they pay you for your normal shopping: It is kind of like taking a survey (which they also offer) scanning the items helps manufactures/stores to make decisions on which products to keep, alter, etc. They pay you in points which you can save to cash out (they put the cash on a debt card that they send you... card doesn't work at Wal-mart but it does work at Marsh... we haven't tried it anywhere else yet).
What do you have to do to earn "extra money?": Scan weekly for bonus points, and take survey's when offered (usually once a quarter). They also offer discounts for dining, etc. Referral's too - you earn $25 for each person that sign's up.
WHAT DOES THIS COST???? Nothing!!! I have not had any issues and the CS line is very good at helping you with questions etc. Also I have not had any issues with malicious software etc. because I am really protective of my computer this was one of my biggest concern's.
Rob and I have been in this program for over a year (going on 2) they just started offering a referral program or I would have told everyone sooner (if you refer a friend you get $25 put on your debt card).
If you have any additional questions you can call me or email me.
Thanks to anyone doing this... we have been lax in the program but still managed to make $50 over last year!

Baby stuff n’ things - 5 WEEKS left
Current mood:
uncomfortable
Category: LifeOMGosh - this baby is going to be nothing like Titus, sigh... he was such a quiet baby! Guerin is always moving and shaking... rarely asleep and I have so much heartburn I feel like I am going to get sick most of the time. I know could I complain about anything else today (of course, just keep reading)???
On a positive note... I did gain a pound (which the doc is always happy about) in the last 2 weeks. I have thought about cleaning the spare room (so my darling will actually have a room when he gets here). Also need to clean garage to put more stuff down there (clean it, then put stuff in it... have to keep re-organizing so I can put more stuff in there... never ending).
I am starting to feel the time fade away... I am getting a little stressed about my lack of time to accomplish all that I hope to get finished by the time Guerin gets here. Still not feeling super motivated... just tired most of the time. By the time I get home, I make dinner, then watch 1/2 hr of TV, then put Titus to bed, zone out for to long on the couch (waiting for Titus to go to sleep), go to bed to late, wake up tired... it is a vicious cycle! Not to mention that I have to go potty every 2 hours... that is a serious dent in time.
I broke down and cried the other day... hormones and being overwhelmed.
Rob and I started consuling a few weeks ago, it is nice but we can only meet every other week because of Rob's work schedule. I would be happier if it could go faster. Overwhelmed is a theme in my life (right now anyway) so it would be nice to have a helper (my husband) on the same page with me... or at least meeting me 1/2 way... but time will hopefully help in that direction. I don't mean to sound like he does nothing... but it would be more of a relief if it was more.
Lastly, I know this is slightly random - but would you want it any other way? :)Tuesday, May 27, 2008

Job Change - for a month anyway
Category: Jobs, Work, CareersAs some know - I recently had a switch in jobs. I am no longer doing the nanny job (will be after baby comes) and I am at the elderly gentleman's home until the baby comes. The other caregiver stole their credit cards and racked up a large balance - this is someone the family has known for over 30 years. They finally caught it after it had been going on for over 6 months! I cannot imagine sitting everyday with someone that I stole from... anyway. That person is gone so I am now working here until my new little guy arrives. I will be training someone new to take over when I am gone. Just hope he comes on time... so their will be plenty of time for the new person to get used to everything.
So that is what is keeping me busy these days. It is more hours than I am used to working and I do miss Titus (and the boys I nanny for... we were going to go to the zoo... *sigh*) but this is better for my family in the long run as our AC is still broken this will give us some extra cash to fund a window unit (hopefully we can afford a new one next year when taxes come). We have to buy a special window unit too - since it is something we are not allowed to have where we live (condo Homeowner rules). Keeps the place looking nice... but...
So what are we doing with Titus these days? Well, as of this week he will be attending his last day of preschool and he has been spending quality time with Daddy. Rob is on vacation for the next 2 weeks so Titus will be at home with him during that period of time too.
It is AMAZING how much a child can change and grow in a few months. A few months ago when Rob and Titus spent "quality time" together that meant I came home to a house that was completely destroyed and it stressed me out which is one of the reasons why Titus started attending preschool when Rob was home (the other is that it cost the same amount because the fee was for 2 days). So I was shocked and relieved in the past few weeks when I arrived home and the house looked either better or in the same state it was in when I left. What a RELIEF!!! I was stressed that it would be in shambles everyday - but it isn't!!! It helps that Titus is used to picking up his toys a little more now than 6 months ago, and that he is older too. I still expect to walk through the door and the devestating aftermath of a day with Titus - but am always pleasently relieved when the opposite is presented.
Anyway - that is life for us right now. Nothing too exciting going on. Still have loads to do before the baby comes! Like the fact that he STILL doesn't have a room. But hopefully in the next few weekends I can tackle the garage (to make space to put stuff) and then the room.Saturday, May 31, 2008

It’s hot.
Category: LifeBroke down and bought a window ac unit. A special one (so hopefully I can get away with it in the homeowners assoc. Yestarday it was hot so I bought one and just pray I don't deliever early so I can catch up bills wise.
Here it is - the Library Quiet. 10,000 BTU - supposed to cool up to 400 sq ft. The nice part for us is that it doesn't hang out the window... which means we might be able to get away with it for the summer. If not we have another window which we will have to cut it to fit it in (but I will if I have too)! Our house AC was going to cost us around 900.00 to fix because our compressor went out. That is not really in our budget at the moment so I went with this one which cost us around 500.00. Sucks because it can only make the front of the place cool but it is better than nothing.
I have gotten nothing done this weekend (as far as the garage & baby room go). I have gotten through some stacks of paper work. In fact when Titus gets up we are going to the pool! It is hot today!! Even with the unit I am sweating buckets! That means something easy for dinner!
